Yes indeed - I enjoy Medium as an exercise ground for better writing, and as a byproduct we get quite a lot of opinion. It works best when we don't let emotions fly and accept that not everyone agrees with us, nor should they. It works not at all when we demand that people agree with us, and we begin to use Medium as a propaganda platform instead of a better writing platform.
