What? I work in tech. I know the landscape well. Thousands of jobs have been open for months. The salaries offered are good. Tech pays better than traditional companies. They simply are not getting qualified applicants to fill the jobs, because there are more open jobs than applicants. You need to be in the situation to know that it's real. There are tons of unqualified people clicking [ Apply ] on jobs just in case an employer is desperate enough to take them, but in most cases that doesn't work because the employer needs those hard skills on day one.
