How we’ve moved on from the news media’s doom-scroll narrative

You should tune into the prof g podcast, and listen to a talk by Scott Galloway on near term predictions for our economy and society. He is one of several modern day economist-philosophers helping us find meaning and opportunity in our confusing world. If you watch TV news, you are depressed, confused and afraid, and you‘re isolated from your peers, pitted against your political adversary tribe by an elaborate scheme to polarize us and monetize news media using polarization. If you consume digital media, you’re likely blending it with social media feeds, and you’re not in much better shape than grandpa watching MSNBC or Fox News.

The real news is: overall good.

On a global plane, 1.5 billion people have been lifted from extreme poverty, into a middle class life where they pay taxes and have access to medical care and education.
