Well, America is proper fucked if what you're saying is true. The end of an empire usually includes bitter sectarianism and total impasse feudal hatred. Progressives seem convinced they can bully the centrists into submission, but this is a false assumption. Americans have never seen anything like this dictator emerging and they have no clue how to handle it. Progressives are the most clueless of all - they think moving further left is the answer to a populist nationalist dictator's assault on democracy. It is not.
