Thank you, this piece is extremely important for all who feel the world is collapsing, and that life has no meaning, except our collective approach to an end of some kind. Clearly, we are not collapsing. Clearly, there are many problems that we face, but we fail to balance the bad news against the extraordinary achievements of humanity, even just in the last decade. Waking up and focusing on a collective problem that one person alone cannot fix, is obviously a project set up to fail. We need to focus on what we can influence in our lives and sometimes, just as you say, that purpose doesn't have to be that deep. It just needs to mean something to us.
