Thank you Jessica. Most of my friends think Trump is a bumbling idiot. I've been saying since 2015 that he's a genius gaslighter and media athlete. He doesn't need to be academically smart or notably literate, numerate, artistic, or a prolific inventor. He isn't any of those things. He is a born dictator. Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein, Pinochet, Ho Chi Minh etc etc all share these qualities. The divide the population, usually between law-and-order seekers and liberals, and they create a loyal base.

Trump has been masterful at distracting his opposition with racist comments, then going to sign away another chunk of America's natural resources or military advantage to a hostile foreign power. This goes completely unnoticed as the mainstream press reacts to the racist comment, giving the dictator-in-the-making lots of cover for his corrupt deals to go forward undisturbed.

Think forward a few years: when America is a locked-down dictatorship with rigged elections and a family dynasty ruling it for the next 30 years, how important was that blackface photo that you all freaked out over? Is racism really the only important issue for us to fight? We're on the verge of losing America. It will be like Brazil or the Philippines. Game over.
