Thank you for quickly getting into this book and digesting it for your review. I agree with most of your assessment, especially where Robin leaves white people no option except "you are racist". Despite my addiction and recovery, and despite my scientific background driving me to gather facts, assess clinically and resist jumping to conclusions, I have no choice but to reduce the entire debate to some very simple principles. Nobody ever won over a dissenting group of people by attacking them, calling them idiots and pronouncing them guilty. I fell Robin's philosophical constructs are limited to the faculty lounge and will never become broadly accepted. In fact, she has achieved far more success than she deserves, because of a white guilt phenomenon that is a temporary symptom of our progressive groupthink. We will emerge from this phase with a stronger sense of free speech, and hopefully a return to MLK's dream of a color blind America, not a hate-driven one.
