Suggestions for Democrats in 2024
Some are obvious, others are unpopular
The blue tent has experienced a revival since Kamala’s nomination. Thank you Joe Biden, a good man, an effective and hardworking president, and an honorable politician, which is a rarity.
Americans are testing out feelings as they listen to and read news about the candidates. Most are entrenched in their political choices —a lost cause, whatever side they’re on. We’re talking about the 15–20% of the electorate that’s undecided or open to switching. Then reduce this further to about 5% of the electorate, because the only swing voters that matter are in battleground states.
Kamala did a great job on Sep 10 debate against Donald Trump. She got some tailwinds from ABC’s moderators, but in fairness any good moderator would have had to challenge Trump on some of his conspiracy theory idiocy. Only Fox would have allowed him to go rogue and abuse his time allocation, interrupt, shout and hurl abuse.
She also very intelligently distanced herself from woke ideas and strongly denied allegations that she’ll remove everybody’s gun, kill babies and open the border for all comers.
