Scott, I believe you're too smart and talented to get caught in this tribal hatred. You're confusing anti-Israel sentiment with antisemitism, and the two are vastly different. You're also failing to allow for youth and the emotional overreaction that comes with the rejection of one establishment, often causing an affinity to its enemy, even in cases where said enemy (Hamas) is little more tan a bunch of thugs running an oppressive regime of religion-fueled misery. Young people proclaim support for Hamas only because of the reaction they get from old people who unquestioningly support Israel - they wouldn't like Hamas if they lived under its shadow.

The response I prefer is a) continue to support free speech even when said free speech often produces opinions I find abhorrent, b) refuse to take sides in the middle east problems because neither side is worthy of my allegiance, and both sides are committing atrocities, c) remember that there is a big difference between the people of a country and the regime of that country, therefore refuse to tar the people (good) of that country with my disapproval of the regime (bad) they are under.
