I really didn't do this for the planet. I have long ago shed any personal guilt about my carbon footprint. How ridiculous would it be to turn down a trip somewhere because of the flight's CO2 emissions? Or to hide something I do in case someone might shame me? Please. Go ahead and shame me. My job is to live my life on this planet while I'm here, and to help the people I love and care about, while staying safe from shitty people who may wish to harm or steal from me. Pleasing people who may shame me is not my job. They can go fuck themselves.
