Nobody asked for the internet, Tesla, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Uber. These are known as innovations. Not all of them succeeded. they were pitched by broke ass founders with big ideas, and investors bet on them. Not all bets paid off. There is no committee of tech overlords deciding what the next generation will look like. The will continue to be founders with zany ideas, angel investors making bad bets, good bets and regretting not making bets when they had the chance. There will always be venture capital, happy to jump on your bus when your idea looks to have some traction. Nobody asked for the metaverse, like nobody asked for crypto or 3D printing or self driving cars. Nobody asked for AI.
