Love this. I used to live in Switzerland - another "very happy country" according to the happiness charts. But I didn't shed my Want Things mentality and I held onto my admiration of Ferrari, Breitling, Yves Saint Laurent, posh addresses and aristocratic surnames. My wanter mentality kept me unhappy - and poor.

I believe Americans have a deep seated dislike of themselves and believe they will be happy when they are billionaires, i.e.: never.
