Lauren, I get your passionate call for a more caring democratic party, but you're stuck in a bubble that is as out of touch as some of the boomers you're complaining about. Imagine a progressive candidate had won the nomination instead. The swing voters and the center-right democrats would not vote for this candidate. Which means we lose the Trumpster fire, and we lose our country for the next 50 years. Dictatorship. Gone.

The numbers are simply not there to support the candidate you're dreaming of getting into the white house. America is nowhere near as progressive as you might wish or think.

It's not a boomer vs young people thing either. It's more an urban progressives vs centrist democrats thing.

Look, it's possible we don't belong in the same political party. We may be better off with a democratic party, a progressive party, republican party and a Q anon fascist loony toons party.

Just as you're averse to getting on the bus with this centrist DNC, I have no intention ever of getting aboard a progressive agenda that demonizes business and achievement, clings to identity politics, and fails to speak to working people and small business owners. That is not a party I would ever support.

So if you don't want to vote for Biden, that's your choice - go ahead. See you on the rocks at the bottom of this very big cliff we're about to roll off.
