I'm sorry, but i think you have bought a guilt trip that you didn't need to own. Your original stance of "I don't see color" is more valid to me and is the one I choose to adopt and stand by for my own life. We have gone too far in the academic faculty lounge belief system that promotes a narrative of the oppressor and the oppressed. In fact we have become oppressed by this oppressor narrative, and we are all guilty and found liable to pay damages. This is both unreasonable and oppressive.

I choose to remain in my lane and work hard to avoid active discrimination against any skin color, creed or culture. I also choose to remain master of my destiny and refuse to care what names I am called. The identity politics of the past decade wants to attack all who don't 100% agree with it, calling them racists and white supremacists.

The fed up majority says OK, go ahead.
