I'm not with you here, at all. I'm not wealthy but I have always made good money and lived well. I'm terrified of mediocrity. I don't understand idea that someone would look down their street in a grimy poor neighborhood and think of low paiud retail their job and their modest humble life of poverty and tell themselves this OK and this is all they wanted in life. We all need dreams. Some are OK with distant, unachievable dreams, but smarter people need dreams that might come true. I don't need to be a billionaire but I will die trying to be financially successful and independent so I don't have to live in some grubby place where all the poor people live.
If you wake up hating rich people, you have defeated yourself and you have taken yourself out of the conversation for all ambitious and tenacious people around you. They will tune you out and move in without you.
Yes it's true the wealth gap is out of control, and we need to find our balance. The answer is NOT a generalized hatred of all rich people, it is a thoughtful approach to feeding more money from the wealthiest to the poorest, and protecting opportunity for all to better themselves.
