Quick formula for how to go from normal, reasonably happy human to failed, miserable and defeated human.

  1. Regret the past and blame others for what’s not right in your life.
  2. Fear the future.
  3. Try to control what you cannot control.
  4. Be preachy and sanctimonious.

That oughta do it! Just practice this for a year and you’re there. Congrats, you are a card carrying wokemon and nobody likes you. Your career has failed, or it never did start. You’re an administrator in a backwater office somewhere, you make $63K a year and don’t enjoy your work; you live in a dull, uninspiring home. You blame rich people for your lack of financial success. You actually believe the wealthy have somehow stolen something from you. This fuels your relentless anger and constant attacks on billionaires and the other privileged people in the top 1%. You and your like-minded friends have convinced yourselves that the remedy for the wealth gap is the complete destruction of wealth by means of forced redistribution from rich to poor. You even believe this when you’re not high.
