Good thought process thank you Steve. People who try to explain everything through a single lens of racism are missing multiple dimensions of real world sensitivities that drive decisions, such as a black person voting for Trump. Many people who voted red did so not because they like a racist but because they don't dislike the red message as much as they dislike the blue message. Perhaps they heard Defund the Police one too many times and were intensely disappointed in such childish gibberish. Perhaps they like a candidate who stands for something rather than a party that only knows how to complain about what's wrong. Perhaps 40 million of Trump's 73 million voters are absolutely not racist but they simply didn't her enough stuff they liked out of the blue corner, so off they went and voted for the orange guy.

I'm a democrat, often embarrassed by my own party's spoiled child attitude.
