Good article thank you. It's time for Democrats to put aside petty arguments and unite, and to persuade reasonable republicans to join our megaproject to rebuild America. Taxes: yes, but not so punitive that the wealthiest will move assets abroad and hide money in Cyprus. Tax what they made last year, not what they own in illiquid assets like stocks etc.

We need a massive infrastructure program to modernize our crumbling bridges, roads and railways. it will create millions of good jobs and pull people out of hopeless shitty jobs in retail, which is dying anyway.

We need public healthcare, without smashing private healthcare. This allows people with great health plans to carry on as normal, but those without, or who can't afford to keep paying for coverage, to get real healthcare right now.

We need to educate the current generation so we have doctors, burses, researchers, computer programmers and big data analysts. This will also reduce the footprint of Trumpers as he draws from the vast pool of uneducated hopeless people in dead end jobs.

We need to support the tech industry but also help it to break up the giants. We never wanted to be dominated by 4-5 almighty companies - we are rebels and we don't do kings and queens. This happened by accident and we need to smash it, but without smashing the whole industry (China would love it if we did).

We need to unite in the middle. There's no room for far right loonies or extreme socialists who want to level society. We need to embrace hard work and entrepreneurialism, while nurturing a sense of empathy and community, for our collective wellbeing.
