Collapse theorists will one day be right, just as San Francisco earthquake fear mongers will. They sound excited about collapse. They dislike western civilization, capitalism, liberalism, free markets and the pursuit of one's dreams. They await collapse in hope of replacing 'all this' with something new and better.

In the meantime, the rest of us will continue living our lives and chasing our dreams, not wasting a moment fearing some imagined end of days. If it never happens we will be vindicated for living our lives. If society collapses we will deal with that too. Haiti, Yemen, Gaza and one or two other distressed nations have collapsed. It may be 100 years before US, UK, France, Australia, Germany or any G20 country collapses. You sure you want to give up and sit around waiting for this to happen?
