Can't blame Biden for this: there has been a massive surge in numbers since Trump lost his job. Huge numbers of Hondurans and Guatemalans were led to believe that if they showed up at the border they would now be allowed to walk on through. Biden never promised an open border, nor should he. Any functioning nation needs to control its borders and know who's here, where they're staying and what they're doing. Biden promised to end the cruelty and the detention and separation practices. He is doing that, but the increase in numbers is making it hard to make progress. Ask any Guatemalan immigrant who has their papers: they don't want the gangs and the violence to walk across the border unchecked.
