Cancel Culture is for the small minded
And yet…. I just cancelled half the Medium authors I don’t want to see anymore
Yeah, sorry. I’m bored. I keep reading idiotic headlines coming from angry positions of uninformed, exiled and disenfranchised people who nevertheless claim to know something the rest of us don’t, and who can’t wait to enlighten us. They actually believe they are smarter than everyone else, even though their careers as minimum wage retail workers have them living in small boxes with two roommates. They have yet to accomplish anything of significance, yet we must listen to them because they are supremely correct.
So I’ve started an experiment to dismiss the sillies and let’s see what Medium brings me after I’ve completed my little cancel culture project.
I don’t think Medium should be a 99% one-sided platform for the left, as Parler is for the right wingers. Not that I seek right wingers on Medium — I am absolutely and completely fed up with the childish rants of the far lefties who don’t understand economics 101 and who have yet to step out into the world of surviving on their skills and effort. We live in a time when the voice of reason has been muted and the voices on the fringes have been amplified. This is in part because there’s more money (clicks = ads) to be made publishing junk than reasoned thought, and also because social media AI learns what we like in order to give us more if it, not unlike your local crack dealer.
Let’s see where this takes us.
