Brian - You're missing the most important jigsaw piece. The driver in a ride share business is a temporary, necessary evil. The business model sees the future and in this future there is no driver, just an autonomous vehicle with cameras everywhere. Including cameras trained on passengers, who shall not even think or vomiting, spitting defecating or otherwise disrespecting the robot vehicle.

The future is not far away. Gavin Newsom is a great governor and I both like and respect him, however he is barking up the wrong tree here.

We will eventually need a global living wage paid by the government for everyone whose jobs were eaten by technology.
