Americans have never experienced a dictator takeover, that's why they're so relaxed about this. Democrats are happy pointing out racism in Trump's tweets, talking about white privilege, and talking about taxing the sh*t out of the billionaires. They have no idea that there will be no more elections after 2020. There will be roving gangs of bikers and armed militias terrorizing minorities and protesters. There will be systemic disappearance of civil rights. The press will be completely gagged. When all this happens, will you still be harping about white privilege?

Republicans are split between those who actually like an authoritarian figure, and those who are beginning to have buyer regret - they will swing to Joe Biden.

When it's too late and we have left the free world, we're a locked-down dictatorship and the middle class has disappeared, we may begin to soften and feel empathy toward those who have opposing political views. We may realize that MAGA hat plumber guy down the road is no different, and that he isn't actually evil. We may realize democrats' handling of the divisive dictator was deeply flawed. We'll know this when it's too late.
