Actually, it is a failed state, by any definition and by any dictionary. The government’s first responsibility is to keep its people safe, then come all its other tasks. America has been failing to prevent active shooters, and is now failing to protect its citizens in a pandemic, and some states have been unable to guard their capitol from armed militia. Please find me a definition of failed state that exempts America from a positive diagnosis.
