A Cesspool of Defeatism

Sorry folks, you’re on the losing side. The time for complaining about everything and everyone is over. Consider it wartime, or consider it a strange time when the worst case scenarios — several of them — have triggered, therefore we’re sliding from our perch and headed for a lower, less desirable place. Therefore, hating everyone and complaining about the people you hate is not helping humanity, or your people, or you.

Several writer platforms have provided sanctuary for liberal thinkers — Salon, Medium and many others — and I’ve enjoyed reading opinions I disagree with, often finding them educational, sometimes influencing my thinking, mostly not. A free society should always have free speech, and sanctuaries for centrists, far left liberals, far right fanatics, military historians, constitutionalists, Jesus freaks, and myriad other flavors of opinion, should always have freedom to express themselves. I’m not a right winger. More of an ex-democrat, now homeless. I enjoy reading different opinions, but I also despair for those whose outlook is always negative.
